Over the past few years, the province of Aurora, particularly the town of Baler and Maria Aurora, experienced typhoons, floods and other calamities. The residents in the region are still rebuilding their houses and livelihood in the aftermath of Typhoon Lando. In response to this, St. Nicholas Microfinance Inc. (SNMI) is promoting its involvement in combating climate change by raising awareness and funds through this campaign.
St. Nicholas Microfinance Inc. is a non-profit, non-stock corporation that focuses on the upliftment of the basic or disadvantaged sectors by providing advocacy, training, community organizing, research and access to resources to disadvantaged and underprivileged households.
The proceeds from the sale of these teeshirts will be used to finance a town wide tree planting in Baler and Maria Aurora communities.
